About Ash Rehab

A more personal kind of care.

We established Ash Rehab to offer a more personal and confidential approach to alcohol detoxification — combining robust clinical governance with compassionate, individualised care, delivered within the comfort of home.

You will not meet a different nurse each day. You will not be passed between call handlers. From your first assessment to your final follow-up, you are looked after by the same small team.

How it works

Confidential video assessment from home
01Day 0 · 25 min · Video call

Confidential assessment

A GMC-registered prescriber reviews your drinking history, medical record, and home circumstances. Nothing is initiated without your consent.

Personalised detox plan with your prescriber
02Day 1–2 · Prescriber review

Your personalised detox plan

Your prescriber creates an individualised reducing regime — the right medication, the right dose, tailored to you. Your named nurse walks you through it, in person, at home.

Daily nurse home visits throughout detox
03Day 3–10 · Daily home visits

Home detox support

The same nurse, at your door, every day. Withdrawal monitored, medication adjusted, and your aftercare plan prepared before visits end.

Who we care for

People for whom home detox is the right setting.

  • Adults drinking habitually, with a supportive home environment.Whether a partner, family member, or another sober adult is present for the first few days.
  • Those for whom a residential admission would be disproportionately disruptive.Working professionals, parents, carers, or anyone for whom discretion is non-negotiable.
  • Patients seeking continuity of medical care, not anonymity. The same prescriber and nurse from first call to final follow-up.
  • Those ready, however cautiously, to begin. You do not need certainty. You need a safe first step.
Whom we cannot safely treat

And, candidly, when we will decline.

  • A history of withdrawal seizures or delirium tremens. These patients require inpatient supervision. We will help arrange it.
  • Significant unstable cardiac or hepatic disease. Some conditions render outpatient detox unsafe regardless of intent.
  • An acute mental-health crisis or recent suicidality.A psychiatric pathway must be in place before alcohol detox is attempted.
  • No sober adult available at home for the first 72 hours. This is a safety threshold we do not lower.

The first conversation

A prescribing doctor.
From your sofa.

Your first assessment is a 25-minute video call with a GMC-registered prescriber. No waiting room, no clinic, no disclosure to anyone you haven't chosen to tell. Every note is written by the clinician who will see you through.

What our patients say

From people who have
been through it.

Being able to detox at home, in my own bed, with real clinical support — I genuinely don't think I could have done it any other way. The nurse was extraordinary. She made me feel safe at the moments when I felt most frightened.

M.R.Hertfordshire

As a family we were terrified about what was going to happen. The team explained every single step before it happened. The aftercare planning meant we knew exactly what to do when the nurse visits ended. We can't thank them enough.

S.L. (family member)London

I'd tried to get sober twice before. The difference this time was the level of medical oversight. Having a proper prescriber and daily nurse visits made it feel genuinely safe — not just a hope. I'm now eleven months free.
