What it means for you

What CQC registration means
in practice.

01

Independent regulation

The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. CQC registration means Ash Rehab has met the legal requirements to provide regulated care, including standards covering safe care and treatment, effective staffing, and the protection of service users.

02

Accountability to inspection

As a registered provider, we are accountable to the CQC and subject to inspection. All CQC registrations and inspection findings are publicly available, so you can check our status at any time at cqc.org.uk.

03

Our registration status

Ash Rehab is a newly registered service. As of the date of this publication, we have not yet been inspected by the CQC. This is normal for newly registered providers — registration precedes the first inspection cycle. We operate under our full governance framework from day one of registration, not from the date of first inspection.

04

Standards embedded from day one

Our clinical standards are not dependent on inspection — they are embedded in our operating procedures, prescribing governance, nursing practice, and safeguarding framework. We do not hold a CQC inspection rating at this time and do not use the terms "rated Good", "rated Outstanding", or any other inspection rating language.

Governance

Our clinical governance framework goes
beyond the minimum required by registration.

Registration with the CQC sets the floor. Our governance framework is designed around the question of what this patient actually needs to be safe — and that goes further than any checklist requires.

Questions about our registration?

A prescribing doctor.
From your sofa.

Your first assessment is a 25-minute video call with a GMC-registered prescriber. No waiting room, no clinic, no disclosure to anyone you have not chosen to tell. Four short questions, answered honestly, will tell us whether a home detox is the right setting for this moment in your life.
